About State of Jax
Jacksonville is changing fast. State of Jax brings together independent, hyperlocal datasets to show what’s happening, why it’s happening, and where action matters most. By tracking the same indicators over time—and setting them in context with peer cities—State of Jax helps the community measure progress, align efforts, and invest wisely.
While other platforms like the City of Jacksonville’s Transparency Dashboards, JSO Transparency Portal, and Catalyst Northeast Florida provide critical information, State of Jax focuses on economic, education, health, and social metrics compared across city council districts, zip codes, neighborhoods, and against a carefully curated list of peer cities.
This approach enables policymakers, nonprofits, businesses, educators, and community leaders to align strategies, target resources, and measure progress toward a stronger Jacksonville.
